Hari Hotel wins Build4Asia Award
The Hari Hotel, designed by Atkins for Harilela Hotels Ltd., has won the Silver Award for Outstanding Architecture (Commercial Hong Kong) at the Build4Asia Awards 2022.
The awards celebrate the most exemplary developments, innovations and standards of excellence achieved within the building industry.
Inhabit’s Hong Kong design team supported the entire LEED-certified 30-storey building from concept to final construction, for façade and interiors. In close collaboration with the client and interior designer Tara Bernerd, the lighting team developed an approach carefully designed to generate an ambience with a sense of exclusivity.
Deputy CEO Hugh Brennand comments:
“Congratulations to the architects, Atkins, and the Harilela Group on this award. Inhabit was pleased to be a part of the team in bringing this one-of-a-kind luxury boutique hotel to Hong Kong, as a great example of sustainable ways of creating high-class hospitality.”
Painstaking efforts were made to ensure specific features within the interior were highlighted and emphasised to create a visual journey which allows the guests to appreciate the fine detailing and unique artefacts that were selected.
A functional yet relaxing and warm ambience is achieved with flexible control systems, low glare downlights and integrated details. The different levels of lighting were purposely taken into consideration to identify the hierarchy of the space to specially highlight artworks and unique materiality of the furniture, while maintaining a balanced contrast to allow views of the stunning Hong Kong backdrop.
