Webinar: Green Building Council of Australia

Samantha Anderson, Associate in Brisbane, Australia, will join a panel of speakers in a Green Building Council of Australia webinar on June 11 to discuss “Insights into building envelope and energy performance”.

Key topics to be covered include:

  • How air tightness can be achieved and how to meet Australia’s National Construction Code 2019 (NCC 2019 ) requirements
  • An example of a passive house in Queensland
  • A case study of an air- tight building

Samantha, a Senior Building Phyics ESD Engineer, will discuss the implications of NCC 2019 and how industry is tracking. This will be followed by a discussion with the audience to explore if we are ready to meet higher energy efficiency requirements for buildings.

Samantha is passionate about delivering high-performance buildings, but, in addition to this, trying to achieve greater clarity in the industry in regards to what a “high performance” building represents, and how these building can impact occupant comfort.

She strives to change the perception that “air conditioning” is required to maintain comfort.
