XI’AN INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE CENTRE

Designed by GMP Architects, the new Xi’An International Conference Centre is currently under construction. The centre is a 200m x 200m x 50m box-shaped building.

The GFA of the conference center is about 191,000 sqm. It consists of a series of conference halls, grand ball rooms and multi-function rooms. The conference centre will be used for the coming “Belt and Road” Forum for International Cooperation.

The façade is a stick built steel mullion curtain wall system spanning 25m to 45m. These large spans need to accommodate large differential movements of over 200mm.

Inhabit are  façade consultants on the project.
