Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi is the world’s largest indoor theme park situated on Yas Island, Abu Dhabi, the United Arab Emirates’ premier leisure destination. In a country where summertime temperatures easily reach above 40 degrees Celsius with high humidity, a US$1 billion indoor, air-conditioned theme park was the answer to the climate conditions for architects AECOM.

Some 15 hectares of desert were transformed into a giant, golden structure housing 29 exhilarating rides, interactive family-friendly attractions and unique live entertainment, spread across six immersive lands — Gotham City, Metropolis, Cartoon Junction, Bedrock, Dynamite Gulch and Warner Bros. Plaza.

Inhabit was engaged for the front glazed entry and provided technical support during construction and designed a steel-framed glazed entry system with feature horizontal external fins.

The design intent of the entry was to match the colours of the Warner Bros. logo and the challenge was to select glass with the right blue colour.
