A boutique hotel at No.13-15 Pennington Street withapproximately 6,000 sqm of lighting design for a 25-storey building. The intention of the main lighting scheme was to create a warm and comfortable environment.
The lighting concepts for the development were based on providing a cohesive approach to the overall lighting design, unifying all elements, landscape and interiors, within the development so they are viewed as an integrated environment.
For the interior, the intention was to create a dynamic and animated lighting environment, through the modulation of lighting intensity and highlighting of features. The landscape lighting was designed to minimise uncomfortable glare to internal users.
LED bulbs are used throughout this project in an effort to utilise energy efficient solutions where light fittings were selected for their high efficiencies and low maintenance characteristics. Light fittings are located only as necessary to create a fairly minimal effect, to continue efforts to maintain maximum efficiency in the lighting scheme.
