NEW WORLD FINANCIAL CENTER.CANTON |THE CO-CENTRAL MANSION

New World Financial Center. Canton | The Co-Central Mansion, is located in the eastern CBD of Guangzhou, on top of the intersection of TOD nine-track transportation hub. The project integrates environmental protection and green and “Co-work, Co-live, Co-play” design concepts and advocates a green and healthy working environment.

The project consists of benchmark 200m twin towers, designed with sky garden, flexible layout and green shared space, to gather top talents, provide a full-time ecosphere, and build a headquarters economy integrating office building, hotel, commercial, residential, clubhouse and other multi-functional businesses.

The centre will become a headquarters economy and a city landmark in the center of eastern Guangzhou. The lighting design is both a practitioner and a participant of “night economy”, injecting the night vitality of the buildings in the Zengcheng area and becoming a new city card of Guangzhou East CBD.

Inhabit worked in collaboration with internationally renowned architect teams from LWK Architects to provide lighting schematic design, technical input and implementation of the unique lighting concept. Now the project has been awarded with LEED Core and Shell Gold certification and China Green Building Label 2 Star.

For the design process Inhabit’s lighting team adopted a unique approach due to the complex façade structures. This involved on-site experimentation to check the procedure settings of the lighting control system and identify the linear relationship between the lighting effect with the current flow and more than 10 different gradients. Dynamic lighting effects on the façade have been realized with a low-power LED lighting fixture. The lighting design has met both LEED and China Green Building standards.
