RITZ CARLTON & J.W. MARIOTT GALAXY RESORT
Galaxy Macau is an integrated resort and world-class conference centre with seven five-star hotels, being developed in phases. Phase II of this project was an extension of the existing Galaxy Casino complex, with the 4-storey podium area increased to allow an additional 180m hotel tower to sit upon it. Phase II houses the Ritz Carlton and J.W.Mariott hotels.
The project was design by Steelman & Partners and executed by local architects Wong & Ouyang and developed by Galaxy Entertainment Group. The project consisted of unitised curtain wall and a vast array of GRC and GRP decorative mouldings on both the tower and podium. The rapid pace of the development of the project required constant design involvement for the duration of the project.
The project features various façade access and maintenance systems, ranging from roof-top BMUs to bespoke rope access davit arms to access the many protruding features and recess areas. Inhabit provided façade and access and maintenance consulting to the Galaxy Entertainment Group.
