BENDIGO HOSPITAL

The award-winning Bendigo Hospital is the largest regional hospital development in Victoria, Australia. The $AUD 630 million project delivers state-of-the-art facilities and provides world-class healthcare in a welcoming, holistic and positive environment. Architects Silver Thomas Hanley and Bates Smart have won multiple awards for the project.

Besides 372 inpatient beds and operating theatres, the hospital has an integrated cancer centre, a psychiatric services precinct, retail and café outlets for staff, patients and visitors, a childcare centre, an hotel and  a short-stay accommodation hub and a conference centre.

The hospital also has 48 courtyards and terraces integrated into its design, including a rooftop garden, drawing the landscape into the building.

We provided full façade consultancy services including schematic design, design development, tender documentation, performance specification, shop drawing review and construction supervision. “

Inhabit also provided final engineering certification for a number of the successful façade subcontractors on the project. and carried out specialist reflectivity studies for the link bridge connecting the new hospital building with the also newly constructed multilevel car parking facility.
