AUSTRALIAN CENTRE ON CHINA IN THE WORLD

The Australian Centre on China in the World (CIW) is a world-leading research institute established to enhance the existing capabilities on the study of contemporary China at The Australian National University.

The centre encompasses a lobby, gallery, library, auditorium and a study centre for scholars and researchers.
The project, designed by Beijing-based architect Gerald Szeto (司徒佐) of Mo Atelier Szeto Architects, in collaboration with Canberra firm Munns Sly Moore Architects, reflects the requirements of a research institution whilst embodying the basic tenets of Chinese architecture and incorporating modern Chinese elements.

CIW is located at The Australian National University, Canberra and will be a signature structure at the heart of the campus.

Inhabit provided full façade and ESD consultancy services including technical engineering and certification, thermal modelling and calculations of three typical curtain wall systems.
