Pierre-Alexis Galland Associate | Sydney

With Masters degrees in both  mechanical and naval engineering, Pierre has a specialised experience in lightweight structures and the building envelope. His cross-field experience in architectural design and yacht high performance structure has seen him involved in projects that include lightweight composite structure engineering, fabrication details, industrial process and assembly design.

Through his interest in high technical façade design Pierre has worked with seven Pritzker Laureates: Norman Foster, Renzo Piano, SANAA (Sejima/Nishizawa), Shigeru Ban, Zaha Hadid, Herzog & de Meuron and Christian de Portzamparc. His career has seen him involved in high-profile façade engineering projects in Europe, Australia and Asia while also developing office capabilities in bespoke structural glass solutions, large span gridshell and tensional structures and access design.
