Hudson is a highly experienced Lighting Designer who has specialized in both architectural and theatrical projects for over 15 years. His experience includes a variety of commercial, hospitality and entertainment projects in a numerous locations including Macau, Hong Kong, Japan and China.
Starting his career as a lighting designer in Tokyo, Hudson has acquired a wide range of skills and knowledge from different projects including various large-scale professional productions. Since 2007 he has been primarily focused on architectural lighting design.
He has continually explored and implemented the latest theatre lighting technologies and advanced lighting technology and has applied them in the architectural field including LED Media Lighting Systems in the façade, thematic lighting design for exhibition halls and retail and completed stage lighting systems for high-end hotels. His clients include multinational brands and key property developers in Hong Kong. His unique background has equipped him with a thorough understanding of both the architectural and entertainment fields, allowing him to bridge the gap between the two.
Hudson has been a member of the Illuminating Engineering Society of North America since 2012. He is a key leader for the Hong Kong Lighting Design team, encouraging them to explore and tap into the potential of lighting aesthetics, creativity and technology to bring unique and tailored ideas and solutions to all projects.
