Gregory Rice Director | Sustainability | Australia + New Zealand
Leading Inhabit’s Sustainable Design team across Australia and New Zealand, Gregory has great interest in supporting a sustainable, and low carbon future. With several years of ESD experience, across Sub-Saharan Africa and Australia, he brings attention to detail and practical solutions to meet client needs and execute on the vision of sustainability. His background in architecture has informed his passion in environmental design, with a strong focus on delivering impactful projects underpinned by high-quality consulting and project management services.
Having begun his career in South Africa in 2013 while completing his Masters dissertation, Gregory presented his research at the biennial conference Eco-Architecture in Siena, Italy. He has experience in multiple sectors including commercial, healthcare, retail, residential and public buildings. As a Green Star Accredited Professional and Independent Assessor, he has provided best practise sustainable design and operations advice to multiple projects across Sub-Saharan Africa, verifying that building designs, and attributes achieve effective, and tangible sustainability outcomes.
In 2019, Gregory’s sustainability career found ground in Australia where he has participated in multiple projects ranging from small residential developments, to community and recreation buildings, as well as major healthcare projects with stringent sustainability performance targets.
Gregory is passionate about the development of low impact buildings, infrastructure and cities, delivering on the necessary trajectory to a low carbon future.
