Inhabit lighting project wins second gold award

Inhabit, Egis’ Façade and Sustainability service, has won the Lighting Design Gold Award at the 11th 地产设计大奖·中国CREDAWARD Design Awards, for the Yangtze Optical Fibre and Cable Joint Stock Limited Company (YOFC)) Headquarters in Wuhan, China.

This latest recognition follows our 2025 MUSE Awards (Gold) win earlier this year and cements the YOFC project’s status as a benchmark for innovative lighting design that blends the built environment, technology, and corporate identity.

The project, which features five golden-copper wings converging at a central atrium and a fully integrated lighting system, sets a new standard for façade and lighting collaboration which:

  • Transforms the façade into a dynamic representation of fibre optic connectivity;
  • Utilises smart electric louvers that optimise daylight while creating ever-evolving patterns;
  • Demonstrates exemplary multidisciplinary collaboration.

Special congratulations to Jianxia Huang, Lighting Design Manager, who led this exceptional project, and to Xuekun Qian, Executive Director China, and Sienna S., Business Development Director China, who represented Inhabit and Egis at the awards ceremony.

This double award win underscores our leadership in sustainable, human-centric design that enhances both the built environment and user experience.
