Inhabit is awarded ‘Outstanding Partner’ by SOHO China

Inhabit has been awarded ‘Outstanding Partner’ by SOHO China for work and service on the newly completed Wangjing SOHO located in Beijing, PRC. Mr. Shi-yi Pan, Chairman of SOHO China, presented a trophy and memorial photo of the project to Dr. Chang-jian Shao, Director of Inhabit Beijing, at the award gala held just in front of the building on October 22, 2014. Mr. Moxi Wang and Mr. Ji-chao Sun from Inhabit Beijing also attended the gala to share the honour.

Designed by world-renowned architect Zaha Hadid, Wangjing SOHO includes 3 special curved façade towers and 3 individual specially shaped retail areas, with a GFA of 520,000 sqm and maximium height of 200m. The façade adopts a unitised window wall system with custom designed cold bent aluminium features varying in heights, widths and depths. The architectural design evokes a trio of Chinese fans that “appear to move around each other in an intricate dance”. Inhabit was engaged as the Façade and BMU Consultant for this project and had a full time site role throughout the construction process.

Inhabit Group has established good ongoing relations with SOHO China over the past few years. Alongside Wangjing SOHO, Inhabit is also collaborating on 3 other projects for SOHO China in Shanghai: Sipinglu SOHO, Caojiadu SOHO and Sichuan Road SOHO.
