Inhabit celebrates International Women’s Day 2021

In the lead up to International Women’s Day on March 8th 2021, Inhabit teams around the world gathered to show their support and commitment to gender equality and diversity in their workplace.

Participating in the global campaign around the theme “Choose to Challenge”, teams submitted photos to be shared across Inhabit’s social media properties, raising their hands high to show that they choose to challenge and call out inequality.

CEO Tony Alvaro commented: “Inhabit is committed to supporting employees to achieve their full potential in an environment which fosters equity, fairness and diversity. Our people are particularly close to my heart. The team’s unrelenting dedication, creativity and hard work are critical to achieving our strategic goals. We are proud to foster a culture in which our people welcome and support each other.”

According to the World Bank in 2020, women represented 38.8% of all participants in the global workforce.

Globally, Inhabit has 32% women in its workforce, comprising engineers, architects and industry-leading experts across a variety of disciplines servicing the construction industry. This compares favourably against the industry average of 14%. In Australia/New Zealand this ratio is higher, with 43% women in our workforce and the Singapore office, 75% of the team are women.
