Inhabit Brisbane joins Team Transurban for fun run

Four Inhabit Brisbane team members participated in the Sunday Mail Transurban Bridge to Brisbane Fun Run on Sunday, August 28th 2022.

Julia Bai, Business Support Administrator, Eloise Pienaar, Assistant Building Physics Engineer, Alex Cao, Graduate Facade Engineer and Vy Nguyen, Graduate Facade Engineer joined Egis colleagues as part of Team Transurban in support of Ronald McDonald House Charities South-East Queensland. The 260+ strong Team Transurban participated with 20,000 runners and walkers over either a 10km or a 4.5km course.

On Friday, 26th August 2022, Samantha Anderson, Associate | Building Physics + Sustainability joined Egis colleagues at a fund-raising lunch organised by Transurban to raise funds for the charity. Ronald McDonald House Charities have programs in all Australian states to support the needs of seriously ill children and their families including providing accommodation near hospitals for those having to travel large distances for treatment.

Through the lunch and the fun run Team Transurban raised AU$350,000. In total the Bridge to Brisbane Fun Run raised AU$1 million for over 300 Queensland charities at this year’s Bridge to Brisbane event.

Julia Bai comments:

“It was great to be part of the event with so many people to raise money to help those in need. It is our Inhabit Brisbane team’s first time participating in Bridge to Brisbane fun run with 20,000 runners and walkers to complete the journey. We look forward to attending more events like that in the future.”
