InEnergy: Site 8c, Sydney Olympic Park, Homebush Bay

With a highly glazed Southern façade rendering the NCC Section J – Deemed to Satisfy pathway a challenge, Inhabit and Bates Smart carried out a workshop to undertake provisional design review of the architectural aspirations.

Using InEnergy, our software compliance tool for rapid NCC Section J compliance, we were able to generate compliance requirements for the proposed design while exploring the different ways that the glazing system could be re-engineered and still meet energy efficiency goals.

With this process complete, we were able to facilitate a time-efficient way to assess alternative glazing products to deliver a more transparent façade solution, allowing Bates Smart and the Design Team to quickly move onto the next design challenge!
