Ben Lüder Principal – Lighting Design, Hong Kong
Ben leads the Lighting Design practice within Inhabit. Based in Hong Kong, he is responsible for the growth and development of lighting design services globally.
Ben started his career in the live performance industry over 17 years ago, during which time he also worked as a lighting designer and technician for a variety of bands. He has since been involved in many different aspects of the lighting industry including manufacturing, supply and design.
He is a creative designer, with comprehensive technical knowledge, and uses light to generate enticing visual environments by augmenting the architectural form, materials and spaces. Ben is a collaborative designer who works closely with clients and other designers to deliver outcomes that add value by enhancing our visual experience, branding narratives and marketplace differentiation.
Ben’s project history is extensive and varied, including large public arenas, hotels, bridges, sports stadia, residential properties, retail spaces, art galleries, offices, building façades and landscapes across Australia, UAE, UK and Asia.

Ben uses his expertise to mentor and lead the team in creative thinking and continually developing the way in which lighting can be designed to enhance our visual environment and augment design. He is also responsible for interfacing with clients and developing Inhabit’s presence in new market areas.
