Inhabit launches: DTS Façade Designer

In recent months, a revised National Construction Code for 2016 (NCC 2016) has been presented to industry and is set to be adopted by Australian States and Territories from 1 May 2016.

Traditionally, aspects such as the Deemed-to-Satisfy Provision (DTS) have been accessed by practitioners downloading a reference spreadsheet from the Australian Building Codes Board (ABCB) website and manipulating input values for calculations required by the energy efficiency DTS Provisions for NCC 2014, NCC 2015 and NCC 2016.

With the Inhabit team thinking up creative ways to make the design process easier, we’ve set our sights on Section J – J2 as a foundation to access a more efficient and cost effective design process.

Available for Free, Inhabit are excited to release the DTS Façade Designer.

With much of the Australian building industry migrating towards an Alternative Pathway for Compliance (JV3), the DTS Façade Designer aims to minimise the time and energy spent on a process that is often criticised for its lack of value and outcome.

Taking users through an intuitive process, with both simplified and detailed interfaces, it is now possible rapidly assess your façade design strategy against Section J – J2 in as little as 60 seconds!
